About Me

I was born 1970 in Stuttgart and have been working as a freelance filmmaker and television journalist for almost 25 years. Since 1998 I´m based in Cologne.

In my films I can unite some of my passions: storytelling, curiosity, and the artful blend of image, sound, rhythm and music. From portraits of musicians and artists to different life stories of people around the world. My filmmaking is about letting myself be surprised and moved. I want to capture what’s deeply human.

For me as a filmmaker, anyone who has something true to tell, something that affects, moves and touches us all, is exciting.
